SmartFan Nimbus AC motor speed control is designed to control AC motors, pumps and fans in HVAC, electronics and industrial control applications. Nimbus provides AC motor speed control for single phase AC motors approved for voltage control in applications including; humidity control, clean room pressurization, equipment cooling, exhaust ventilators, duct fans & blowers. Nimbus accepts 115 or 230 VAC power source and provides AC motor speed control from a control signal (0-20 mA, 0-10 VDC), remote transducer or up to three remote temperature sensors.
Automatic voltage and frequency detection, current ratings up to 7.5 Amps and three mounting and connection configurations make this AC motor speed control extremely flexible and economical. Benefits of using SmartFan Nimbus for AC motor speed control include acoustical noise reduction, environmental (humidity, temperature or pressure) regulation, greater product reliability, improved safety and energy savings.
CAUTION – SmartFan Nimbus is designed for OEMs (Original Equipment Manufacturers) and is not intended for end-user or after-market applications. The Nimbus should only be used with compatible induction motors (Permanent Split Capacitor (PSC) or Shaded Pole) that are approved by the motor manufacturer for TRIAC (voltage) control. Attempting to control a fan or motor that is not compatible could cause excessive heating and/or permanent damage to the motor.

1 When used in the temperature sensor or transducer control mode, a sensor is required. Choose an air, surface or liquid thermistor temp sensor from Control Resources or use your own transducer.
