SmartFan Nimbus-HP is a TRIAC based fan, pump and AC motor speed control designed for OEM applications in HVAC, electronic and industrial control markets. The Nimbus-HP AC motor speed control automatically varies single phase motors that have been approved for voltage control by the motor manufacturer. Nimbus-HP regulates motor speed from a control signal (2-10 VDC, 4-20mA) or up to three remote temperature sensors (thermistor). Typical AC motor speed control applications include: humidity control, clean room pressurization, equipment cooling, heat exchangers, exhaust ventilators, pumps, duct fans & blowers.

On-board programming allows the setting of many parameters providing maximum flexibility. Special and custom AC motor speed control configurations are available.

CAUTION: SmartFan AC motor speed controls are designed for OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturers) and are not intended for end-user or after-market applications. SmartFan AC motor speed controls should only be used with compatible induction motors: Permanent Split Capacitor (PSC) or Shaded Pole. All AC motors must be approved by the motor manufacturer or thoroughly validated prior to use. Attempting to control a fan or motor that is not compatible could cause excessive heating and/or permanent damage to the motor.
